Impact Assessment of Improving and Scaling Up the System of Rice Intensification in West Africa

AIMS is currently undertaking a impact study of a project of the West African Agricultural Productivity Program (WAAPP), a multi-year regional effort to boost agricultural productivity across the region. The SRI-WAAPP project is funded by the World Bank and jointly coordinated by CNS-RIZ in Mali and SRI-Rice at Cornell University. It is designed to increase rice yields by 30% in targeted areas in each of the 13 participating countries by strengthening the human and institutional capacities. AIMS is conducting a mix-methods impact assessment in 6 countries with a team of 18 national team leaders and enumerators.
